Food. I love it. I don't believe you should cut anything out of your diet completely--unless of course it's killing you or your body can't process it, or, if it's a non-food. Now with that said, so many foods, after processing can become non-foods and I HAIL ON HIGH those who can afford to go organic all the time. I guess what I'm saying is that if it's a non-food or a zero food like... um... like Jolly Ranchers. I mean come on.. of what benefit is a Jolly Rancher. It's sugar and more sugar... not even a natural flavor. Whereas Splenda... it's a non food as wel,l due to the processing of the sugar. Sugar on the other hand is not that great for the body when trying to lose weight, but, in the raw its a food.
It's just so complicated sometimes.
I say consult your doctor for what is right for YOUR body. For me, I went vegan because it was right for my body. I needed also to cut carbohydrates because they were turning to sugar in my body and causing me to have high blood sugar level spikes and confusing the insulin release in my system. I was like... standing in line for diabetes.
Now with that said... am I a Vegan's Vegan.. nah... I'ma writing vegan.. meaning I eat too late, I sometimes eat too much, and often eat things that should not even go in a human's mouth. The result! Even as a vegan I had been obese for many years. It was last year however that I knew I had to make some serious changes.
What I'm doing with this site is actually networking with others who are working to improving their health by losing weight and increasing their energy through working out more. I'm always learning and when I do, I share it with those who follow my blogs and articles on weight loss and good health.
I have more a psychological way of looking at weight loss which has to do with being a writer so that's why I thought my journal and upcoming cookbook for those who need to get healthy, lose weight and or increase energy without becoming a fanatic would be helpful.
To stay real with you, I do have some issues that make me appear kinda fanatical at times, but I think many creative, eccentric people to, and others find ways to wade through the OCD and fetishes we have to get to the real core of what we're trying to say. At least that's what I'm hoping from those who contribute to my forums and blogs.
This site is a work in progress as everything I do in life. But who is 'sitting on ready' 24/7? Oh.. you.. well good for you.
Anyway... this pages here in this site are just idea of sharing with you the food, the foods that I should eat and some substitution foods using foods that I can't eat. Enjoy and I hope you find it helpful. |
